Privacy Policy

Short version: Session Cam doesn't collect any information about you. Your videos stay on your iPhone unless you choose to share them.

What we collect

Nothing. Session Cam has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app doesn't send any data to us or to anyone else. It doesn't connect to the internet at all, except when you tap a link that opens a web page in your browser.

Camera and microphone

Session Cam uses the camera to record your session and detect motion, and the microphone to record sound with your attempts. Motion detection happens entirely on your iPhone. Only the attempts are saved; everything else is discarded as you record.

Your videos

Recorded attempts are stored inside the app on your iPhone. You can delete a session, or several at once, at any time. Deleting the app deletes everything it has stored.

If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or a computer, that backup may include the app's data, according to your device's backup settings. That is handled by Apple and your device, not by Session Cam.

Photos

When you import a video, iOS shows its photo picker and Session Cam can only see the videos you select. When you save a video to Photos, the app asks only for permission to add to your library, not to read it.

Sharing

When you share a video, it goes wherever you choose through the iOS share sheet (for example Messages, Strava, or AirDrop). What happens to it there is covered by that app's or service's own privacy policy. Videos you share may include information such as the recording date, if you turned on the date overlay in Settings.

Location

Session Cam doesn't ask for or use your location. Videos you import from Photos may already contain location information from when they were recorded.

Children

Session Cam doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
